The videogame Tyranny, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive, is a role-playing video game with action-based combat. The game takes place in a fantasy world called "The Tiers", which was once part of the world of Eora but was conquered by the Overlord Kyros. The player character is one of the Archons, Kyros' elite guards, and is stationed in the city of Apex at the edge of the Tiers. Archons are given complete authority over the lands they govern, reporting only to Kyros herself. However, Kyros rules through fear and uses her influence over her vassals to keep the Archons loyal to her. Ferocious demons roam huff post free across most of the Tiers, while humans live in small settlements behind large magically enforced walls that serve as their only defense against the threat outside their doors.
