Your ship was previously a cargo ship, so it has overall dimensions, which means that not a small number of colonists went on a trip.
Quite a long period of time has passed since the beginning of the journey, when the people on the ship had already lost all hope and fully settled on the open spaces of the ship, leading the most ordinary life.
This acceptance of the situation led to quite a few problems, clashes between people and a real mess on board.
